The coronavirus epidemic prevents us from celebrating our national holiday in the form that has been customary for decades this year as well. There will be no public programs and state events. Only the Kossuth Square flag raising will be held at 8:00 a.m., and the greeting of the President of the Republic will be broadcast on M1 and Duna television, as well as on Kossuth radio.
The presentation of the Kossuth and Széchenyi awards will also be postponed until later, but the list of awardees will be made public on the day of the holiday.
