Giant tech and social platforms have some pretty amazing power. They simply ban or limit influential opinion makers (or anyone) if they don't like them or if their political or business interests so desire.
Donald Trump is also forced to communicate indirectly, through his supporters! Although this is a one-way communication. "Proclaim my words!" he could say with a bit of biblical banter

Former US President Donald Trump launched his own communication platform on Tuesday so that he can communicate directly with his followers, reports the US press. What we've experienced from tech giants is that if you don't agree with their philosophy, they delete you.

The platform runs under the name From the Desk of Donald J. Trump and is located at www.donaldjtrump.com/desk. The former president can post posts, pictures and videos on it, which followers can share on Twitter and Facebook, where Trump's accounts have been disabled.

However, the platform does not have a feature that allows users to comment on Trump's posts.

“It's just one-way communication. This system allows Trump to communicate with his followers," an Internet expert who asked not to be named told Fox News. Corey Lewandowski, Trump's former senior campaign adviser, announced at the end of March that the former American president would launch his own social media site in three to four months. At the time, Lewandowski described the new platform as an "interactive communication tool" through which people would be able to communicate directly with Trump.

We will have a platform where people can communicate freely without fear of retaliation or deletion," Lewandowski said earlier.

After the events at the Capitol in January, the largest social networking sites and Internet video sharing portals decided one after the other to ban the former president from using their accounts. Their decisions were mostly explained by the fact that they believed Trump's inflammatory speech and messages on social media caused the riots. The new communication platform was launched one day before the competent committee of the Facebook social network will announce whether Trump's previously blocked accounts will be permanently deleted.

Already in February, Twitter announced that it permanently banned the former president from using the social network.

The owner of the microblogging service provider stated in a message previously published on his page: he is not happy with the decision, which was made after careful consideration. Jack Dorsey, however, acknowledged that decisions like these could set a dangerous precedent, destroy public debate and divide people.
