The Romanian government made it possible to hold the Pentecost holiday in Csíksomlyo, the RMDSZ announced yesterday.

According to the Magyar Hírlap report, at the request of the Gyulafehérvár Roman Catholic Archdiocese, with the mediation of the RMDSZ, the government approved that church pilgrimages can be held by wearing a mask and keeping a distance.

"At Easter, the community of Csikszereda proved by example that it can participate in the food consecration in a disciplined manner by observing public health rules. I am sure that the same discipline will characterize all the pilgrims who visit this year for the farewell," the statement quoted Deputy Kelemen Hunor .

The politician called the farewell in Csíksomlyó one of the most significant Christian events of the Hungarians in the Carpathian Basin, to which pilgrims come regardless of religious affiliation.

As can be read, after the government meeting, State Secretary for Disaster Management Raed Arafat informed the press about the reliefs that will come into effect on May 13. He said: the clause that only the local population can participate in church pilgrimages and processions was eliminated from the list of restrictions. that are jointly adopted by the Ministry of Health and the State Secretariat for Religion must be observed
