From now on, even those who have not yet received their immunity card do not have to cancel their trip: based on a recent government decree, hotels, restaurants, spas and attractions can also accept the application proving vaccination, reports koronavirus.gov.hu.
The measure is particularly important because it helps in the planning of trips, since no one has to worry that they cannot go to a hotel or a restaurant if they do not have a protection card and have been vaccinated.
The application provides proof of vaccination equivalent to the card, but it does not prove that the owner has been exposed to the virus. Only the protection certificate can still be used for this. Anyone who has reserved accommodation or restaurant reservations can go, the app can also be used to visit spas and museums - everything that requires an ID.
The EESZT application can be downloaded for Android and iOS mobile phones and is free for service providers and the vaccinated.
The increase in the desire to travel is supported by the pre-booking data of the National Tourist Information Center (NTAK). Bookings for the summer months are constantly increasing. More than 1 million guest nights were recorded in NTAK for all three months, 1.2 million for June, 1.4 million for July, and 1.2 million for August.
