Prime Minister Viktor Orbán greeted the pharmacists in a letter on the occasion of the national health day, emphasizing their good standing in the fight against the coronavirus epidemic, Bertalan Havasi, the prime minister's press chief, informed MTI on Wednesday.
In his letter addressed to pharmacists and pharmacist assistants, Viktor Orbán reminded us that the past months have presented all of us with trying challenges, but during the defense against the coronavirus epidemic, we have also experienced that with discipline and cooperation we can overcome the difficulties we face.
On behalf of all citizens of Hungary, the Prime Minister expressed his appreciation for the support provided by pharmacy workers during the most difficult months of the epidemic.
"It is common knowledge that sick people go to the pharmacy not only to fill a prescription, but in many cases also for information and guidance, which has become especially important now, when there is a lot of fake news about the virus on the Internet, and anti-vaccination has also gained a significant scale," said Viktor Orbán . In his letter, the Prime Minister assured the pharmacy workers that the government is committed to keeping the supply of medicines to the population in the national interest, as well as ensuring the professional and existential independence of pharmacists. "We will also do everything to ensure that pharmacy services are available to our compatriots living in small towns in a balanced way," Viktor Orbán concluded his letter.
