Viktor Orbán said that a flexible solution must be found to support SMEs due to the changing monetary policy. The Prime Minister stated that there is no upper limit to this. Either we want full employment, or if we don't provide assets, there won't be full employment.

  • He said about the crisis caused by the coronavirus: In this crisis, everyone in Hungary stood firm. Both doctors and teachers adapted very quickly. There is no family bankruptcy spreading like wildfire either, he added. Viktor Orbán also spoke about the fact that it was difficult for businesses, but based on the employment figures, they also held up.

He also spoke about the fact that crisis management cannot be carried out in a normative way. The low corporate tax here is not to provide a tax haven, but to bring real investment here, said the prime minister. Whoever wants to take this away from us wants to take real investments away from us.

A safe economy means that the Hungarian economy must be self-sufficient in hospital equipment, medicine and vaccines.

These production lines must be built in full spectrum, he added. We need to develop our own vaccine, said the prime minister.

  • Hungary cannot stand only on its western leg, he said. According to Viktor Orbán, the center of gravity of the world economy is constantly in the East. With such a country's size and population, we can only build on exports - he pointed out. According to the prime minister, the most important goal is to have more jobs than the number of people working, because that way everyone can find their place. Migration is also a bad thing within the country, he added. In the next seven years, this aspect should be decisive.

During the next seven-year EU cycle, all resources must be channeled to the least developed regions, we do not want to create megacities. 

  • The prime minister announced that families raising children were affected by the period left behind. Viktor Orbán announced that if the 5.5 percent increase is achieved, the tax paid in 2021 will be returned to parents raising children.
