It will not be important whether we win or lose, or whether our national team can compete with foreign star players. The question is, how well will the Hungarian team be able to hold together? Dávid Bacsa, the chaplain of the Little St. Teréz Parish in Keszthely, made a statement to Sunday, from which we share some details.

- Teams from Germany, Portugal and France also arrived in Hungary in the past few days. We do not necessarily understand each other's language perfectly, we are different. Yet we have a common language: football . We all know the rules of the game, we can practically speak a common language twice for 45 minutes. This is the sport that does not distinguish between wallet, skin color, culture, politics or even world view. Football is a multicultural language that connects people.

- It is universal in nature, one could say universal.

- That's right, the meaning of the word Catholic is also "universal". They believe the same about the sacraments and the confession of faith in Hungary as they do in Africa, South America or Japan. Football is one of the important elements of a common faith, a common language. After all, we are each other's brothers. We are children of the same God. We can also speak the same language in sports, and football can be an important link between our fellow human beings.

- How effective do you think the Hungarian team will be?

"Won't the important thing be whether we win or lose?" Whether our national team can compete with foreign star players. The question is, how well will the Hungarian team be able to hold together? Hungary's strength lies in this unity. If we manage to play as a good team, we can be satisfied and proud.

- Who do you think will win the European Championship?

- Man plans, God finishes. The team that goes out on the field with a big vest usually stumbles. As the Scriptures write, he who walks must be careful not to fall. I believe that those who we do not expect great results from will make it to the finals. Big surprises can happen.
