The National Chamber of Agriculture (NAK) and the Association of Hungarian Farmers' Unions and Farmers' Cooperatives (MAGOSZ) have launched an online signature collection entitled "Petition for Hungarian Agriculture".
At the end of May, negotiations on the reform of the Common Agricultural Policy were suspended in Brussels. The new proposals cause a significant competitive disadvantage for European, including Hungarian, farmers, provide an unlimited advantage to uncontrolled foodstuffs from outside the Union, endanger the health of citizens, and lead to a significant increase in food prices.
The National Chamber of Agrarian Economy (NAK) and the Association of Hungarian Farmers' Associations and Farmers' Cooperatives (MAGOSZ) therefore call on the European Parliament not to create a competitive disadvantage for European farmers, thereby ensuring that Hungarian farmers continue to contribute to the European
and for the healthy life of the Hungarian people.
