The American president also participated in the G7 summit in Great Britain. At the meeting, among other things, they discussed the need to prevent the development of another devastating epidemic similar to the coronavirus epidemic, it was said in the M1 program Unió27.

The pandemic has defined the diplomatic negotiations of recent weeks. In practice, it is treated as a priority at every meeting, as are its economic effects. This was also the case at the meeting between Viktor Orbán and Boris Johnson, or even the Hungarian Prime Minister and the Slovenian Prime Minister.

The negotiations focused primarily on the current, current processes that affect Europe. These include the post-coronavirus situation, economic issues, security policy issues, and questions about the future of the European Union. Primarily, these political leaders are united by the fact that they are interested and concerned with how the future of the European Union will develop, how they can put the European Union back on a competitive path both economically and politically on the global stage - said Petra Halkó, Századvég International analyst.

Viktor Orbán and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson met in London in the last days of May. After the meeting, the Hungarian Prime Minister said

"in the post-epidemic period, energy policy and military cooperation can be decisive in the relationship between the two countries".

Attila Kovács , the project manager of the Center for Fundamental Rights, the next period is also important from a diplomatic point of view, because Hungary will hold the position of president of the Council of Europe (CoE) for half a year, so several important issues for our country and Hungarian citizens can be put on the agenda, and there keep in international diplomatic life.

The importance of the ET presidency lies, among other things, in the fact that Hungary is pushing for the issue of national minorities to be put on the agenda of European politics. Hungary's prominent role in European and even global politics is also shown by the holding of the Eucharistic conference planned for September, which will be attended by Pope Francis, and the fact that Hungary will once again hold the position of president of the Visegrad Four next year is also significant in European politics - said Attila Kovács .

In the coming months, there will be a major diplomatic operation across Europe, and Hungary's diplomatic role will also be strengthened in this.

"There will be elections in Germany in the fall, and thanks to this, the attention of American and Russian, as well as Chinese politics and diplomacy, has been much more attracted by European events. Within half a year after the German elections, primaries will also be held in France. Hungary will also hold elections at the beginning of 2022. And all of this together has the consequence that the presence of the great powers will be much greater on the European continent in the next six months than, say, in the previous period," said Norbert Tóth , senior researcher at the Migration Research Institute.

According to reports, another Orbán-Salvini meeting is not ruled out either.

The president of the Italian League calls for the creation of a new European right-wing party family. This question was raised after Fidesz left the European People's Party, which is increasingly moving to the left.
