The new Hungarian regulations are about how and in what way the child learns about the otherwise difficult and complicated issue of sexuality, which is solely up to the parent to decide; this is a child and parent protection law - emphasized Prime Minister Viktor Orbán in Brussels on Thursday, before the two-day meeting of the leaders of the EU member states.
Answering a journalist's question, Viktor Orbán said that it is an honor for Hungary if any prime minister or the president of the European Council is interested in a Hungarian law.
I am happy to tell them that there are no laws regarding homosexuality. This law is not about that, this law is about the education of children, their education with any sexual content, he said. – It is always better to read something first and only then react to it, this is the correct order.
The prime minister emphasized that the regulation is about: it is the parents' job to decide how and in what way the child learns about the issue of sexuality. And it is the state's job to create the conditions for parents to actually exercise these rights.
This is a child and parent protection law , explained Viktor Orbán.
