Vaccinations brought hundreds of billions to the Hungarian economy. Other EU countries are also starting to open, so the competition starts again. According to the calculation of the president of the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Hungarian economy gained at least six hundred billion forints by achieving a significant level of cross-cutting. He emphasized that with the success of the vaccination program, Hungary also gained a leg up economically.
László Parragh, president of the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MKIK), said in M1's Ma regleg program that the Hungarian economy gained at least six hundred billion forints by achieving a significant level of cross-cutting. He also informed that it is a political decision what the money will be spent on, however, he believes that the amount can also be allocated to the sja reimbursement intended to help the recently announced families.
The president of the chamber of industry called it of great importance that
with the success of the vaccination program, the country also gained a leg up economically.
According to him, this means that all industries can get back on their feet much faster, the majority of companies recover from the difficult situation sooner and generate profits again.
Other EU countries are also starting to open, he pointed out, so the competition will start again. However, the lifting of the restrictions is supported almost only in Hungary by the ratio of administered vaccinations, so where they open without sufficient vaccination of the population, it can easily happen that the restrictions have to be ordered again quickly, Parragh opined.
The head of the chamber noted that the fact that the matches of the European football championship are taking place in Budapest with full houses apparently no longer caused any disruption, but at the same time the events pumped money into the dried-up tourism.
He referred back to Prime Minister Viktor Orbán's statement that the government will create as many jobs as were destroyed by the epidemic situation. László Parrag assessed that this commitment was successful based on the numbers.
Labor shortages are again experienced in certain sectors
- he pointed out, adding: if the economy recovers, we are expected to face the same problems as in 2019. There will not be a sufficient number of workers, or some of them will not have adequate qualifications. Therefore, in higher education, processes must continue to be directed towards real subjects, and efficiency and productivity in the economy must be improved, he pointed out.
