Diplomacy in the Highlands seems to pick up a bit even with the approach of the cucumber season. Krisztián Forró is now in Brussels on a two-day official visit, his first trip to the center of the European Union as president of the Hungarian Community Party.

On the first day of the trip, in the context of the Hungarian-Hungarian dialogue in the Carpathian Basin, he exchanged ideas with Andrea Bocskor (KMKSZ) from Subcarpathia, Deli Andorra (VMSZ) from Southern Region, who were elected as members of the European Parliament in the colors of Fidesz, and Vincze Loránt of the Transylvanian party RMDSZ .

The Hungarian party leader from the Uplands will participate in the general meeting of the European People's Party (EPP) and will also hold numerous bilateral meetings. He also held talks with Donald Tusk, the president of the European People's Party, and group leader Manfred Weber.

The general assembly continues today, Krisztián Forró is expected to meet Hungarian MEP György Hölvényi (KDNP) and Ivan Štefanec (KDH), the leader of the Slovak People's Party delegation.

The Hungarian Community Party, a strategic partner of the Government of Hungary, the president of the MKP, will join the meeting of the Fidesz delegation active in the European Parliament online in the afternoon. Personal meetings will also take place with several MEP representatives of the Hungarian ruling party, including Kinga Gál (Chairman of the European Parliament Group of the Fidesz-KDNP) and Edina Tóth.

Krisztián Forró informed his negotiators about the process of establishing the Association (Party of Hungarian Nationalities Regions in Felvidéken-ed.). If the unity has already been officially established, the new party will have to apply again for admission to the various European organizations.

"It's a good feeling to experience that the Hungarians living in the Carpathian Basin can also find their way to each other in Brussels. I had meaningful conversations about the unification process in the highlands. Everyone expects that our community will once again have a strong representation in Brussels and Bratislava," said the president of the MKP.
