VII. and X.: Don't steal! Don't covet your neighbor's property!
These orders forbid not only theft and robbery, but also all kinds of damage to the material possessions of one's neighbor, such as vandalism, embezzlement or usury. At the same time, they require the support of those in need, and from the state, the so-called social justice.
The Koran repeatedly emphasizes that everything belongs to Allah, we are only tenants of His property, and we will have to give an account of how we have managed the goods entrusted to us (cf. K 4,131-132). Those who are just and perform "merciful deeds" will go to Paradise , where they will not even suffer as much injustice as "the split in a date tree" (K 4,124). Allah demands frugality (K 4.29), but at the same time condemns the misers (4.37). It strictly forbids damaging the orphan's property and using a false measure (K 6,152).
As we have already mentioned, Muhammad always considered it important to embrace the poor. It has already been said that the rapid spread of Islam was also helped by the fact that social justice prevailed more in the countries it conquered than in other empires of the time. Paying a donation (zakat) to help the poor is considered an act of worship even today.
Unfortunately, there is another side to the coin. Only Muslims have to give zakat, kafirs are not allowed to do so. It is for him to pay his jiz (the "protection tax"). Nowadays, we can also find it strange that Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, the super-rich countries that also own the biggest European sports clubs, do not accept almost any Muslim "refugees", at most they support their move to Europe and build countless mosques for them. .
VIII. Do not bear false witness against your neighbor.
According to the Christian understanding , this commandment forbids all kinds of lies : not only slander, false witness, but also gossip, defamation, perjury, deceiving others, distorting the truth, and in some cases keeping the truth silent.
Bearing false witness against one's neighbor is also condemned in the Koran. For example, someone who falsely accuses someone of adultery deserves 80 lashes (K 24.4). AK 4.135 prescribes strict justice even if someone testifies about himself, his relatives, the rich or the poor. Allah is especially strict with the hypocrites, who pretend to be religious but are not: they will be in the deepest depths of the Fire (cf. Q 4,145).
Unfortunately, here too we find sad things for us on the other side of the coin. In order to spread the faith, everything is permitted: lies, deception, and even breaking a contract. We have already mentioned that the first raid on the Meccan caravan took place in the holy month of peace (in 624), and the capture of Mecca before the expiration of the Hudaybija peace treaty (in 630). The fact that, for example, Muslim girls get on the plane in Beirut in head-to-toe chadors, change clothes there, and land in Milan in miniskirts, and then do the same color change on the way back: this is natural for them. We kafirs, unfortunately, are not aware that the deception of the kafirs, the trickery, is not a sin for Muslims, but rather a virtue.
