In spite of the previous position of the World Health Organization and in spite of the recent investigation by Semmelweis University, left-wing parties continue to question the effectiveness of the Chinese vaccine. DK Gy. Erzsébet Németh spoke about the fact that, based on the capital's own measurements, the Chinese vaccine does not provide adequate protection. Mayor Gergely Karácsony wrote on his social media page: according to him, a quarter of the elderly who received the Chinese vaccine are not safe. Gergely Gulyás, the minister in charge of the Prime Minister's Office, reacted as follows: Gergely Karácsony is spreading fake news, but he has failed, it was said on M1 News.

We want to prevent the willingness to vaccinate even further due to the government's propaganda of the Chinese vaccine - left-wing politicians railed against Eastern vaccines during the third wave of the epidemic.

The Sinopharm vaccine from China was criticized the most. There was nothing about the vaccine that was not criticized: the left-wing politicians railed against its origin, production and effectiveness.

The coordinated action was resumed on Wednesday after a short break. One of Gergely Karácsony's deputies, DK Gy. Erzsébet Németh, at an online press conference, despite Semmelweis University's research refuting this , shouted that based on the capital's own measurements, the Chinese vaccine does not provide adequate protection.

LMP's Antal Csárdi also joined Ferenc Gyurcsány's party,

who demanded that the government do everything to protect the elderly against the coronavirus.

In the meantime, Gergely Karácsony promoted the capital's antibody screening campaign, which started a few days ago, on the social media site. Based on the first results, the mayor also concluded in one of his posts that the protection of those vaccinated with Sinopharm is not sufficient. Although Gergely Karácsony also admitted that the sample was not representative, he wrote: in his opinion, it confirms the assumption that a quarter of the elderly vaccinated with the Chinese vaccine are not safe.

Under the post, however, a good number of commenters did not spare the mayor:

Then three-quarters of the tested elderly have the required antibody level. Compared to that, the ratio is not so bad that it was said that the Chinese vaccine is worthless

- several people referred back to the previous statements of the left attacking the Chinese vaccine.

" There is not only antibody protection... But let's create the atmosphere...! ” said one commentator, and there were also those who questioned Gergely Karácsony's previous promises regarding the capital's current antibody screening campaign.

" I am so glad that you care about the fate of the elderly! It would be better if he worried about what he did to the capital! Where are the discounts and money promised in the campaign! ", the post reads.

Gergely Karácsony spread fake news, but he failed

- responded the minister in charge of the Prime Minister's Office on the social media site . Gergely Gulyás, citing Semmelweis University's research, wrote: it became clear that the capital's campaign is only suitable for deceiving people, not for assessing protection.

Gergely Gulyás points out: in less than two years, the mayor created the biggest traffic jams in Europe, the public cleanliness situation is worrying, and Budapest has once again been flooded with homeless people. Yet instead of looking for a solution to the problems he caused himself, he tries to instill fear in the vaccinated and protected people.

Gergely Gulyás adds at the end of the post: the mayor owes an apology.
