The topic affects us all, as we encounter challenges every day: for the first time in history, the two main pillars of Western civilization, the heritage of Athens and Jerusalem, the world built on classical Greek thought and the biblical statement, are under fire at the same time. You can order Ben Shapiro's first book in Hungarian, entitled The right side of history, about how reason and morality made the West great, at hetek.hu.
Ben Shapiro, the best-known American conservative Jewish author and opinion maker of our time, wrote a highly successful book entitled The Right Side of History in defense of this thousand-year-old system of ideas. This is the author's first book to be published in Hungary, but his work is also widely known in Hungary, thanks to the fact that more than 10 million people follow his social media pages.
Shapiro is a true 21st-century apologist: he not only shares reason from a virtual ivory tower, but also stands up for his position in person, which is why he regularly has to suffer physical attacks and threats. On live television, the transgender activist sitting next to him literally grabbed him by the throat when Shapiro claimed that a person born a biological male does not become a woman by changing their appearance. His debate partner, who had a deep voice, was muscular but dressed in a colorful costume, was so outraged by this that he began to squeeze Shapiro's neck until the presenter intervened.
As a conservative analyst and media personality, he believes in the power of reason, not emotion, when he stands up for the values that underpin our lives.
