There is no need to be afraid of the third vaccination, which is why the government will allow it from August, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán told Kossuth Rádió Good morning, Hungary! in his show.

Opinions are divided as to whether a third vaccination is necessary or not, and the WHO has also published a skeptical opinion on this. However, there is no need to be afraid of this, which is why the government allows the third vaccination, but it is recommended that four months pass after the second vaccination and that family doctors can deviate from this if necessary, said Viktor Orbán.

There will be no vaccination schedule because they want to burden the healthcare sector with as little administration as possible, added the prime minister. The necessary amount of vaccine is available, the doctors will decide with which type of vaccine to vaccinate the given individual. The possibility of receiving the third vaccination will be available from August 1, Viktor Orbán said.

In terms of vaccination rate, Hungary ranks second. Much more people received the second vaccination in Hungary than in other European countries.

Viktor Orbán said that he is not in favor of making vaccination mandatory, but they made an exception, healthcare workers must take the vaccine against the coronavirus. There have already been vaccinations without which someone could not work in healthcare. This list will now be expanded by one. They treat people, so we cannot risk that they are not vaccinated, he emphasized.

We can only save people if they want us to save them,

that is, they take the vaccine. 15 percent of the elderly have not yet been vaccinated against the coronavirus, he underlined. They are in danger, especially since the delta variant has appeared, which is much more contagious than previous mutations. Family doctors and residents will personally visit these elderly people who have not yet been vaccinated. But even so, it will not be mandatory for the elderly to receive the vaccine. They decide, the government just wants to do everything it can - emphasized Viktor Orbán.

In September, before the start of school, a vaccination drive will be organized in all schools, where all children, parents and teachers will be able to get vaccinated, including those who have not done so before.

The government has not imposed travel restrictions, but it asks citizens to travel abroad only to those who have received their second vaccination. This is necessary so that another variant of the virus is not introduced.

The prime minister emphasized that any opinion that creates uncertainty causes trouble. This is true in any crisis situation. In such a situation, it is necessary for the nation to unite and fight for a goal. And in a virus situation, this is even more important, since in such a case, people's lives are put at risk and endangered by false information that creates uncertainty.

Hungary is facing legal hooliganism

Education and children's rights belong to the national competence, the Union cannot have any say in this. The attitude of the European Commission is shameful, as they want to force Hungary to allow the LGBTQ lobby into education and schools. They ignore that it is a parent's right to educate their child sexually. Such activities can also be organized in schools, but only if the parent agrees.

If Lithuania managed to defend its own position against the Union in a similar situation, why wouldn't Hungary succeed? It will be a bloody battle, but we will do everything we can to protect the Hungarian parents and the child, added the Prime Minister.

The double standard is also present here, since there were similar cases in Romania and Italy, but they are forgotten. Only the Hungarian and Polish cases were emphasized. Only Poland and Hungary are threatened with not receiving part of the European recovery fund.

The language of the debate is legal, while its essence is political. Brussels is abusing its rights and trying to impose its will on us. However, this is an important issue, the protection of our children. In Hungary, children are sacred, so we cannot allow LGBTQ lobbyists to influence children in schools or kindergartens. But we also cannot allow a parent to accidentally, in the absence of sufficient information, buy a book that influences his child's development in the way he would like, said Viktor Orbán.

In Hungary, the situation that already occurs in the Western world cannot arise, where a teenage child decides that he wants gender reassignment surgery, despite the fact that his parents are against it, he pointed out.

Recovery programs will be launched regardless of EU money

The double standard was a manifestation of the European Championship as well. The Hungarians were condemned for almost nothing. If there were no double standards, then the English national stadium, Wembley, should be demolished, the Prime Minister said.

Linking any legal dispute to financial payments is completely unacceptable.

The recovery fund belongs to us, and we will receive this money, he explained, and then announced that the programs that the government has decided on in order to restart the economy will be launched, even if the money does not arrive from Brussels.
