Katalin Cseh is a real winner of the Brussels money distribution mechanism, as she has so far received nearly HUF 4.8 billion in support through her companies through EU tenders.
This is also shocking because the now-deposed momentary EP representative has been doing everything for years to ensure that the European Commission withdraws EU funds from Hungary.
The left-wing politician's recklessness knows no bounds: as long as he digs deep into the EU coffers with his businesses, he would ban Hungary from subsidies and insist that they should be paid "directly".
The politician, who can reap billions from tenders in Brussels, did not stop, and at the plenary session of the European Parliament held in March, he unabashedly assessed the process of distributing EU funds as "currently, EU funds can be shoveled out without consequences, but the new mechanism may put an end to this."
In the July letter he jointly wrote to the European Commission with three other left-wing MEPs, he stated, continuing the previous ones, that "there is no time for further procrastination" and that EU funds should be withdrawn from Hungary. A day later, he demanded from the European Commission not to waste time, not to be inactive any longer, but to punish Hungary.
Katalin Cseh even had the nerve to write on her Facebook page three days before her scandal erupted that Brussels should "get to where they are really meant to be - to the people!"
Now it is obvious: by people he meant himself.
