As revealed in the latest opposition scandal, Katka Cseh's family did not disdain the money of the right, but perhaps even more interesting is the foreign influence emerging around the Momentum party foundation. The latest saviors were filled with Dutch and German liberal money, reports kontra.hu.
Behind Momentum's party foundation, the Indítsuk be Magyarországgot foundation, financiers such as the party foundation of Mark Rutte's Dutch government party, which donated several million forints to Momentum in 2019, also appeared. Thus, it is already understandable why Bandi Fegyőr and Tamás Soproni rushed to defend Rutte, who intended to force the Hungarians to kneel.
The Dutch foundation's domestic partner is the Republikon Institute, which operates under the chairmanship of former SZDSZ member Gábor Horn.
The party foundation of the German liberal FDP also gave Momentum more than HUF 2 million in 2019. The organization already emphasizes the idea of György Soros' open society on its homepage. Among its domestic partners, Political Capital, generously financed by the Soros foundation - with nearly HUF 60 million in 2015 - also stands out.
The question is how independent and uninfluential is a party that is proven to be financed by party foundations in two different countries, which are closely linked to Soros' pseudo-civilian network.
