For days, we thought that Katalin Cseh was called two-faced in the Anonymous video because, while the public has known her as an opposition politician in recent years, the company she led won a public procurement worth more than HUF 79 million between 2013 and 2016 from Ferencváros, which was still led by Fidesz. However, after seeing Anonymous' video on Sunday, Demokrata started researching, and not in vain: we came across shocking details regarding the HUF 68 million EU tender of the Czech family's company.
Although Momentum became nationally known in 2017, in connection with the murder of dreams, it existed as an association already in 2015. Among the founders was Katalin Cseh, who was not only an active part of the anti-Olympic signature collection, but also its leader: the photo that captures the moment when co-president Tímea Szabó hands over the signatures collected by Párbeszéd can still be seen in the archives of the Hungarian Telegraph Office. to Katalin Cseh in the Nyugati tér subway. Although he was not yet included in the first Momentum presidency after becoming a party, he was already elected a few months later, in August 2017. In the announcement of the organization, it was written at the time that Katalin Cseh "worked on Momentum's health program for the past six months, and in addition helped to build the party's international relations."
Thus, Katalin Cseh from an anti-Olympic activist clearly became a political figure in 2017, but until recently we knew relatively little about what she did when she was not doing politics.
Well, as bennfentes.net wrote last Tuesday: at that time, he had been running Pannónia Nyomda Kft., founded in 2010 by his father, Tibor Cseh, for years. From January 25, 2013 to January 10, 2018, to be exact, he was the company's managing director - even long after he became a member of Momentum's board. The investigative portal also wrote that during this period, during the leadership of Katalin Cseh, who was also active in building international political relations, they were able to enter the European Union tender with the company, in which they won more than HUF 68 million in support for the development of a hologram technology.
However, after Anonymous hinted in his latest, now third, video sent to bennfentes.net that it is worth taking a closer look at EU tenders, we delved deeper into them.
We started by reading the summary of the project entitled Hologram application in the planning, implementation and sales process of construction industry investments, which received a HUF 68,126,864 grant.
"The basic goal of our company is to develop and market services and products that are not yet on the market," began the text, which then went on to discuss the advantages and opportunities inherent in holographic display at length and in detail. Somewhere in the middle of the long summary, we came across a surprising section.
"The first professional sub-task is the holographic display of territorial units, spaces and areas that promote sales, sale or rental. The use of the hologram as a marketing tool in this phase, in the case of investments made with a large budget, will have a great impact on the market in the field of pre-sales or long-distance sales. Let's not forget that it has an almost negligible cost in the budget of a major investment, but at the same time, its impact on decision-makers can be enormous.
We consider the investor of a property, the buyer of an apartment, the tenant of an area as a decision-maker, but in our case also the decision-makers and participants in the implementation of a planned major investment (e.g. the colorful holographic display of the locations in the tender material for the 2024 Olympic Games in Hungary), which, if we stay with this example, can also be a decision at the level of the national economy. .”
That's not a mistake: the company led by Katalin Cseh applied for EU support with a project that they believe can help the Hungarian Olympic bid to succeed.
Before the politician of the moment tries to pull out the "I already resigned then" card again, as he did when the scandal broke out, we tried to look up the dates as well. Although the support contract was actually signed by his successor, Gábor Halász, in 2018, the application is still
During the administration of Katalin Cseh, it was submitted with her signature on July 8, 2016,
then the company fulfilled the shortfall by November 22, 2016, and the eligibility decision was made in December 2016 after that. (Just one month before the anti-Olympic signature collection started...) Since, according to our information, nearly seven hundred applications were received for the call, the state project evaluation was therefore only completed in August 2017, but even then Katalin Cseh was the managing director of Pannónia Nyomda.
So although the assessment was concluded by the managing authority, the sponsoring decision was approved and the sponsoring contract was signed only after his resignation from the executive position,
the submission of the application, which, among other things, refers to the promotion of the Budapest Olympic hosting, is attributed to Katalin Cseh, who meanwhile collected signatures against the hosting of the Olympic Games.
Did his immediate companions know about this?
In any case, the picture is getting clearer. Because what did Anonymous promise in the first video sent to Insiders? How to bring down a politician "who was two-faced, who pretended to be one of us, and meanwhile he was playing here and there."
Katalin Cseh seems to easily put aside her principles when there is a prospect of a little money.
This is how Katalin Cseh's scandal grows bigger and bigger
As is known, on July 18 and the following day, Monday, one Anonymous video arrived at the editorial office of bennfentes.net. The masked figure in the recording, with a changed voice, promised to bring him down, but in his second video he only revealed that the company of a two-faced politician and his "friends' companies" won HUF 4.5 billion in EU support and HUF 300 million in public procurement.
The investigative portal later came to the conclusion that it could be Katalin Cseh and Pannónia Nyomda Kft., founded by her father.
The Insider added: this company is currently under the management of Gábor Halász, but from May 2013 to January 2018 it was led by Katalin Cseh, who has since been a politician in the colors of Momentum.
Later, PestiSrácok.hu came across a tangled network of companies , Origo and suspicious collusion in public procurement . Following Origo's article, the Economic Competition Office also launched an investigation.
Dániel Bohár, a Pesti TV reporter, also drew attention to the fact that Katalin Cseh "made quite a good living" from the printing house , because for years they have recorded an average of HUF 600 million in annual sales, "it's another matter that the NAV ten also ordered execution against the company".
