In 2021, on August 13-14-15, the Hungarian Turan Association together with the Hungarian Turan Foundation will once again organize the Day of the Ancestors in Bugacon.
The Day of the Ancestors is not a festival, but a holiday, which the traditionalists have been celebrating every other year since 2011. Today, this is the largest military gathering of Hungarian traditionalists in the Carpathian Basin , and it has become a connecting link that can unite all Hungarians in the Carpathian Basin.
Among the spectacular programs is the army review, with the participation of 5-600 military traditionalists on horseback and on foot. But you can see demonstrations of the world's best horse archers, greyhound and falconry demonstrations. The traditional nomadic trials of strength will also be revived, so there will be nomadic sports competitions, equestrian competitions and competitions, archery competition, in which anyone can participate.
The largest yurt in the world hosts archeological and anthropological exhibitions presenting the Hungarian Hun and Avar heritage. There will also be a stage where there will be folk music and Hungarian táltos-music programs. There will be a handicraft fair and, of course, several children's programs, from handicrafts to trying different weapons or riding.
