After the infamous case in Vecsés, the veil may fall on the fictitious MSZP invoice factories and their operators in more Pest county settlements, such as Vácott and Érd, writes Károly Bán in Magyar Hírlap.
The remaining nimbus of the socialists, who are dancing on the edge of the abyss in terms of their support, may be torn apart by another fictitious account scandal, in which a politician from Pest County was suspected of embezzlement and arrested by the police. After Vecsés, here is the new socialist account scandal.
János Both , former mayor of Vác, founding member of the MSZP, and former member of parliament filed a complaint against unknown perpetrators two years ago after the party leadership did not take action in two dubious cases despite signals from within the party and internal investigations. In one of them, the investigation may be nearing the end, which can be known from the fact that the first suspicion has been made.
The Budapest Police Headquarters confirmed: in one of the cases, based on a report by a private individual, they are conducting an investigation on suspicion of embezzlement, during which a main suspect was interrogated. They did not want to give more information about the ongoing procedure...
The whistleblower János Both told Magyar Hírlap that, for example, around eight hundred thousand forints were taken in his name, at least based on the vouchers that fell out of the safe. István Trenka , the then chairman of the Pest county of the MSZP, handed over the internal investigation material to the party leadership, and refused to sign the balance sheet prepared by the economic director. His successor, Zoltán Fekete, was also not available for this.
The account case that occurred during the presidency of József Tóbiás Gyula Molnár , referring to the 2018 election, the same was done by the party director at the time, Tamás Katona , and then by their successors in the party leadership, i.e. co Bertalan Tóth and Ágnes Kunhalmi , and party director Zsolt Molnár
In the account affairs of the socialists in Érd, the Criminal Directorate of NAV is conducting an investigation with well-founded suspicions of budget fraud.
