Hungary is in third place on the August "The Nikkei COVID-19 Recovery Index" ranking of Nikkei, the world's most widely read business daily with a circulation of 2.7 million, founded in 1876!
The Japanese daily ranks countries according to three indicators: epidemic management, vaccination and social mobility and updates its global ranking every month. The higher a country or region is on the ranking list, the closer it is to healing and recovering from the epidemic. In countries that perform well, the number of infected people is low, the vaccination rate is good and the restrictive measures are less strict, compared to other countries.
After the previous fifth place in July, in the latest list of August 5, Hungary is in third place in the list of one hundred and twenty countries, behind China and New Zealand, having improved by two places. The list is closed this time by Thailand and Vietnam.
