Some of the conditions for applying for home building subsidies will be simplified so that as many people as possible can use them as simply as possible, the minister without portfolio responsible for families announced on Tuesday at a press conference in Budapest after the meeting of the operative group responsible for restarting community life.
Katalin Novák said that, according to the proposal of the operative group, the social insurance status of the deceased will be taken into account in the case of death in the support related to home building, and the legal status of studying abroad will also be included in the legal status.
The range of investments for which the home renovation grant can be used is expanding, so that in addition to the disabled, it can also be requested for improvements that make life easier for the visually and hearing impaired, as well as for the construction and renovation of outdoor stairs and external electrical work.
He added: in addition, those who settle their public debt of less than HUF 5,000 within the given time do not lose the opportunity when applying for support for the purchase of a car for large families.
The minister also reported that the Green Home program of the Magyar Nemzeti Bank (MNB) starting in October - in which an interest-subsidized loan of HUF 70 million can be applied for - is connected to the voucher. This means that anyone who builds or buys a new energy-efficient home with MBN's program will have an interest-free loan related to the mortgage .
Csaba Gyutai, the government commissioner responsible for curbing construction material prices, said: last year there was an 8-10 percent drop in the Hungarian construction industry due to the coronavirus epidemic, but based on this year's numbers, there is a good chance that last year's drop will be reversed in the second half of 2021.
The Hungarian construction industry has an adequate order book, and the value of public procurement procedures has also increased, but there are two problems: the lack of raw materials and runaway prices . He reminded that to solve these, the critical range of products was determined, and in the case of them, preliminary export registration was required, during which the export is allowed, or the state exercises its right of first refusal.
