At this moment, there are already more than 100 dead from yesterday's bloody attack, which took place at the Kabul airport and for which the Islamic State took responsibility. This gives special significance to the fact that a few hours before the suicide bombings, the special operations group of the Hungarian Defense Forces brought all Hungarian citizens home from Afghanistan. During the operation, he evacuated a total of 540 people - Hungarian, American, Austrian and Afghan citizens.
They managed to bring home 100 percent of the Hungarians they knew about and indicated that they wanted to come home. In addition, among the Afghans who had been helping the Hungarian soldiers for the past 18 years, they managed to evacuate everyone who contacted the Hungarians in time. Overall, 87 percent of the "Afghans with Hungarian interests", 57 Afghan families, and 180 children were evacuated.
