Óbuda Hírek published the following lines:
Two representatives of the Gyurcsány party, Tímea Szabó and László Kiss, are preparing to remove crosses from the III. district?
Residents of the area and passers-by can read an invitation unprecedented in Hungary on Remetehegyi út in Óbuda. The document posted by the municipality asks the population about who, when, and for what purpose erected the wooden cross that has been standing by the road for a long time. Do they know of any sacred or personal reason why the cross is in this place?
Dear Tímea Szabó and László Kiss! Our editors are happy to answer your questions. The cross was claimed by Christians. People who believed and believe in God and Jesus Christ instead of communist atheism and the currently fashionable gender theories. If you are wondering about the sacred reason: Hungary is a Christian country, there are many pilgrimage sites and routes in the Buda Mountains, where, of course, there are not red stars and rainbow-colored American Statues of Liberty, but stone and wooden crosses. The residents of the area love and take care of the cross, we hope that this is also acceptable to you as a personal reason.
In the hope of a constructive dialogue, please allow us to ask our questions regarding the outrageous case:
- How do you imagine that a sheet of paper is pinned to a sacred cross, dishonoring one of the holiest Christian symbols?
- Why does it bother you that the population of the district is proud of its religious traditions?
- In addition to the cross on Remetehegyi út, how many other religious symbols are going to be removed in Óbuda-Békásmegyer?
- After Western Europe, will Óbuda be the next place where an administrative authority will remove Christian symbols from public areas?
- How long do we have to put up with the fact that they are openly preparing to bring the post-'45 red ideology back to Hungary?
