One patient died and another 262 Hungarian citizens were diagnosed with the coronavirus infection, koronavirus.gov.hu announced on Thursday, highlighting that 5,781,121 people have been vaccinated in Hungary so far, of which 5,510,678 have already received the second, while 342,000 and they also received the third dose of vaccine.
It was written on the government portal: the number of infected people identified in Hungary has increased to 812,793. The number of those who died rose to 30,060, and the number of those who recovered rose to 777,909.
The number of active infected people is 4,824. 138 coronavirus patients are being treated in the hospital, 16 of them are on ventilators.
The delta virus mutant is spreading in several European countries and Hungary, and the unvaccinated are at greatest risk. Therefore, they ask that those who have not yet been vaccinated contact their family doctor or register and book an appointment online.
On the occasion of the start of the school year, it was emphasized that the government's goal is for schools to continue to operate undisturbed, in attendance education, because this is the best for working parents and children. Vaccination is still recommended, for the protection of both students and teachers, they added.
