Screenings of the Carpathian Basin Film Review, a photo exhibition, as well as children's and educational programs await those interested at the International Nature and Environmental Protection Festival in Gödöllő between September 10 and 12.
This year's special theme of the festival, which will be held for the seventh time, will be "Sensitive Planet - water", which is also the title of a traveling exhibition, the organizers informed MTI.
János Áder, the chief patron of the festival, put it this way in his recommendation of last year's program: We can only reach our goal if we make the will to do good with good intentions stronger than harming nature. If there will be more people who do not turn a blind eye to problems and who see themselves as part of the greater whole.
At the festival's traditional accompanying event, the International and Carpathian Basin Film Review, works from all over the world compete in 9 categories. This year, more than 2,000 films from 98 countries were entered.
The public can see the works of the show starting on the afternoon of September 11 at four screening locations. The block named David Attenborough's World, with which the organizers pay tribute to the 95-year-old world-famous English nature filmmaker, will take center stage. As they write, in addition to the best of the categories, a number of professional awards will be presented, with a total value of 18,000 euros.
