The ten-month career launch program of the Prime Minister's Office is aimed at young Hungarians who have graduated, are under the age of 30, and who speak a foreign language.
MKÖ scholarship recipients can spend seven months involved in the work of a ministry of their choice, followed by a three-month program abroad at Hungarian embassies or international organizations.
The scholarship holders' personal development is supported throughout by a mentor. The MKÖ organizes professional and social training for scholarship recipients on a weekly basis, who receive a competitive scholarship of HUF 250,000 per month, which is tax- and contribution-free. During the period of the program abroad, scholarship recipients receive an average scholarship of HUF 450,000, depending on the living costs of the host country.
One of the greatest achievements of the MKÖ is that it kick-starts the careers of the participants: in 2020, the host ministries employed 93 percent of the scholarship recipients as government officials.
Details and the application interface are available on the MKÖ website between September 15 and October 15, 2021.
