The waves of the epidemic, which lasted for a year and a half, battered the German economy, the security of existence, incomes decreased, prices increased!
We are not lobbyists for the Greens, Greta Thunberg said before traveling to Berlin to lead the Friday for Future (FFF) protesters in the German capital on World Climate Day announced for September 24. It was only by chance that, after two years, the army of world-fearing greens just moved,
just two days before the decisive German parliamentary elections. For the world, Greta did not want to campaign for any party, not least because there are no politicians in Germany who take the climate crisis seriously, she says.
You probably haven't heard that the Greens want 'climate control', which I don't really know what that entails. Because environmental protection was not a basic theme of the election campaign. Now the parties tried to get voters for themselves on a social basis, they promised to settle pensions (the pensions did not increase by a cent this year!), they promised to reduce the unaffordable rents and taxes, to raise the minimum wage, digitalization and the development of education and healthcare.
The campaign was visibly woven through the economic and social crisis caused by covid, which people felt through their own living situations and wallets. Everyone cherished their individual grievances, this must be remedied - at least with promises. Thus, global problems, migration and integration, and even climate hysteria became a marginal issue.
The waves of the epidemic, which lasted for a year and a half, battered the German economy and the security of existence, incomes fell, and prices rose. With Angela Merkel's farewell, political stability is also a thing of the past.
It was a long time ago that there was such an exciting and diverse election in Germany.
In the campaign, the grand coalition that was in power until now, the CDU–CSU and the Socialists, went head-to-head in the campaign, but certainly not by three-quarters like two cycles ago, but they did not even reach the absolute majority. The initially leading Greens are a little behind them. Examining the Green performance on a graph, we see a strong correlation between the growth of the Greta Thunberg movement and the party's performance.
Climate demonstrations were organized in more than a thousand locations around the world, in another four hundred and fifty cities across Germany. The left-wing Stern magazine devoted two entire issues and its social media pages to climate activists, public service TV broadcast the demonstration live, and the Gretas were invited to the studio.
The media preponderance certainly leans in the direction of the Greens, the uncertain voters turn green at the sight of so many nice young people, and they pulled the plug on them with a firm hand. According to analysts, the purity of the election, balance and other democratic and rule of law values will not be harmed by Friday's demonstration, since only young people protested for their future and to save the Earth.
Now we can see that the worldwide politically neutral climate demonstration and the media brought more than 5% to the Greens, who are of course preparing for government.
And Greta Thunberg can now feast on her plastic containers and bananas transported on airplanes or known climate-polluting ocean liners. They didn't take him away, but they laid the foundation for his future!
Bananas are pretty mushy though, still better than being green!
