The 14th National Vágta will be organized this weekend with the participation of sixty Hungarian and non-Hungarian municipalities, said competition director Kristóf Nagy Szotyori.
The race director recalled on Kossuth Rádio that starting in May, 11 preliminaries were held, with the participation of riders from Vojvodina, Muravidék and Transylvania, in addition to Hungarian settlements. He said that five-person preliminaries will be held on the Saturday of the National Race, and the final will be held on Sunday afternoon.
The Kishuszár Vágta will be organized again for the young talents, the national decorative unit will give a presentation, there will be a tooth cut, a stallion drive, a four-tooth chase race, a traditional parade, a cart pushing competition, show jumping and the charity star race will also return - he explained the programs, adding that on Andrássy út the participating settlements will present their traditions and values on the established course.
In the M1 program, Kristóf Nagy Szotyori also said that the international race will be organized with the participation of 12 countries, including India, Great Britain, Turkey, Austria and neighboring countries.
He pointed out that Krisztián Széchenyi, Gábor Krajnik-Balogh, Péter Bács, Imre Sipos and Ervin Nagy will be riding in the charity race - the beneficiary of which this year will be a foundation dealing with animal protection.
This event is a combination of culture and sport, a national image festival with the horse at its center, an event spanning within and beyond our borders, which has become known around the world, emphasized the competition director.
