The Ministry of Development has approved funding of 6.7 million lei for the reconstruction of the Rákóczi Castle in Gyimesbükk, the RMDSZ website announced the news. I want to finish the work in two years.

The reconstruction of Rákóczi Castle, which is at the thousand-year mark, was initiated by the retired school director András Deáky. During the renovation works, the building will be restored using authentic building materials, and an exhibition hall and a cafe will be set up for visitors. The reconstruction must be completed by the end of 2023.

The castle was built by the Transylvanian prince Gábor Bethlen around 1626 as a watchtower, the building was built at the beginning of the 18th century in II.
