Thirty-one patients died and another 1,492 Hungarian citizens were diagnosed with the coronavirus, koronavirus.gov.hu announced in its weekend summary on Monday, highlighting that 5,895,282 people have been vaccinated in Hungary so far, of which 5,657,967 have received the second, and 804,000 already. they also received the third dose of vaccine.
It was written on the government portal: the number of infected people identified in Hungary has increased to 824,876. The number of those who died rose to 30,230, and the number of those who recovered rose to 786,737.
The number of active infected people is 7,909. 560 coronavirus patients are being treated in the hospital, 87 of them are on ventilators.
There are 5,458 people in official home quarantine, the number of samples taken is 6,980,188.
On the government side, it was highlighted that the new diseases are caused by the delta virus mutant. Unvaccinated people are most at risk, so they are asked to register and get vaccinated as soon as possible.
They emphasized that due to the delta variant of the coronavirus, the number of infected people is rising again in several countries and in Hungary. "However, in the current wave of the epidemic, it is a big advantage that there is already a vaccine and most people have taken the vaccine, which represents the strongest protection against the virus," they wrote.
