The 2022 call for tenders of the National Cooperation Fund (NEA) were published at 10 a.m. on Monday, announced the Deputy State Secretary of the Prime Minister's Office for Civil and Social Relations at a press conference in Budapest.

Vince Szalay-Bobrovniczky said that NEA, which supports the operation of associations and foundations and the implementation of their programs, will have a budget of almost HUF 11 billion next year, 1.5 billion more than this year. This is a larger amount than ever before, he added.

Tender notices are available on the website of Bethlen Gábor Alapkezelő Zrt. ( www.bgazrt.hu ) and on the Civil Information Portal ( https://civil.info.hu/ ).

According to the state secretary's presentation, the implementation period for the tenders will begin on April 1, 2022, and after the decision of the professional colleges, the grants will be paid to the winners as early as next March.

Regarding the details, he said that it is possible to apply for sums between HUF 200,000 and HUF 4,000,000 until November 3.

Vince Szalay-Bobrovniczky also announced that a new form of support will be introduced in the case of combined applications that are formally valid, but the college cannot grant them support. They will have the opportunity to request a grant of HUF 150,000, which can be used for operating and professional costs related to the basic activities of the NGO, he said.

In the case of simplified tenders, the maximum grant amount that can be applied for has increased from the previous 300,000 to 350,000 forints. You can apply for this form of support between October 18 and November 17.

The NEA is primarily meant to support smaller civil organizations, as Vince Szalay-Bobrovniczky put it: "the NEA is a great opportunity for the small ones". In the most recent tender, 69 percent of applications were supported, which he assessed as a very good ratio.
