A huge crowd marched to Kossuth Square in 2012, during the first Peace March. László Csizmadia, the president of the Civil Solidarity Forum and the Civil Solidarity Public Foundation, told Origo: they did not expect such a huge crowd. He added: they expect a similar crowd now, on October 23, and they hope that the peaceful crowd will participate not only in the march, but also in the elections in 2022. On October 23, the eighth Peace March starts in front of the University and arrives at the corner of Andrássy and Bajcsy-Zsilinszky út, the site of the 2006 police terror attack, where Prime Minister Viktor Orbán will give a ceremonial speech.

Origó conducted an interview with László Csizmadia about the Peace March and the stakes of next year's elections, from which we share some details.

Due to the pandemic, there was no Peace March for a long time, the last time we organized it was in 2018 - a huge crowd marched to the Parliament. The time has come, now we may have gotten rid of the serious epidemic a little, so we will organize the march on October 23. You will have several important messages. One is addressed to the country's internal opposition, who are chewing and attacking Hungary from within. The other is for Brussels. The third – very important – goal is to show:

HUNGARY CURRENTLY HAS SUCH EXCELLENT ECONOMIC RESULTS THAT ATTACKS FROM BRUSSELS OR AT HOME CANNOT BE ALLOWED.

I hope that many people will come. People will come not only from Hungary, Budapest and the countryside, but supporters will also come from fifteen countries - mainly civilians, who are also known in the European Union and bravely say what they think. We are in the twenty-fourth hour.

THE ATTENTION OF EUROPE AND THE HUNGARIAN PEOPLE SHOULD BE DRAWN TO THE FACT THAT A SUICIDE IS ESSENTIALLY GOING ON HERE.

And if we leave it at that, then the ultra-liberal system will create a confused European empire. Every voter who fights on the right must be reached to go vote. It is not enough that the government does its job well, that is why the country is also moving in the right direction - recently, for example, Moody's also upgraded Hungary, but we can also mention the tax benefits and family subsidies, even after the epidemic we do not have to fear that everything will fall apart, since the the country is among the strongest. So this is not enough - we must declare our will in the election. Sure, there are many attacks on the government. It must be said that there is no perfect government - just as there is no perfect family and no perfect person. But let's compare the period before 2010 with the period after. Brussels mostly attacks the rule of law. Let's first look at the legal structure of every European country, and it turns out that no two are the same, so it is not possible to harmonize them. What is happening now is that they single out one country at a time - mainly Hungary and Poland - and shout that this is not good.

What do you think is at stake in next year's elections?

It's very simple: to be or not to be. A higher stake cannot be formulated. Robert Schuman, one of the founders of the European Union, said that EUROPE WILL EITHER BE CHRISTIAN OR NOT. And that's the truth. Hungarians are now free to vote. There is freedom of speech. Leading left-wing politicians can also threaten a Hungarian citizen to keep his mouth shut, but their bodyguards can also use a chokehold on the voter. Hungary has a democracy. The government constantly asks people about certain crucial questions. It is important for the government in which direction to go - according to the will of the people. But have people in, say, France or Germany been asked about immigration? No. Because they didn't dare to ask, because most likely the majority would be against it. Isn't the lack of democracy more noticeable in these countries? What should be noticed is that the Hungarian opposition is showering people with a tsunami of promises, but the siren calls must not be ignored. Let's see clearly what they are doing: if Orbán says that those under the age of 25 do not have to pay social security, the opposition leaders shout that they will waive the tax in 30 years. This is a complete impossibility. If Viktor Orbán gives a 13th month pension, the opposition will immediately campaign with the 14th month pension. Lie. They had a chance to prove themselves from 2002 to 2010, and we saw how it ended. The country is almost completely ruined.

If the right-wingers do not go to vote now, because they think that everything is going well in the country, therefore the current government will surely win, if they do not get up from their seats and cast their votes in the ballot boxes, then that period may return. MORE THAN 30 YEARS AFTER THE REFORM OF THE SYSTEM, THE TIME HAS COME FOR PEOPLE TO BE CAPABLE OF DECISION-MAKING. WE CANNOT REMAIN MINORS FOREVER. WE SAW IN THE PAST DECADES THAT WE HAD SUCH A GOVERNMENT, AND THERE WAS SUCH. LET'S PUT ON THE SCALE, COMPARE THESE GOVERNS. YOU MUST BE ABLE TO DIFFERENTIATE WHITE FROM BLACK.
