At the same time, he is certain that in 2022 DK will belong to the largest faction among the opposition parties, so, as he said, regardless of the final result of the primary election, Ferenc Gyurcsány will remain the protagonist of the left.

Erik Tóth noted that even with a united start, success is not certain if the voters feel that the opposition is only driven by anti-Orbán. At the same time, they have practically no other message, and in the local governments they regularly prove that their ability to govern has not improved, he added.

The analyst does not rule out the possibility that the differences between the opposition parties will intensify over time, as the compilation of the national list may cause significant tensions. He also considers it possible that the victims will withdraw from the alliance citing pre-election fraud, so that in 2022 there will no longer be unity on the opposition side.
