A number of public figures who are still active today appear in the film ElkXrtuk, which deals with the riots and revolutionary mood following the 2006 Özöd speech, which will have its premiere tonight.
Gergely Karácsony and Zoltán J. Gál also have a role in the film Elkrtuk, the premiere of which will be held tonight, according to a statement sent to our newspaper by the producers. The photo material collected on the Megafilm website shows that many of the members of the 2006 leadership still have an active influence in political life today. The current mayor of Budapest, Gergely Karácsony, who was active close to the SZDSZ at the time, also plays a role in the story.
Appearing next to him is György Szilvásy, the minister of secrets who supervised the civil intelligence services at the time, the former prime minister's direct communications advisor, Zoltán Gál J., who is currently working as the capital's mayor, or the head of the Apró family, Ferenc Gyurcsány's mother-in-law, Piroska Apró. In the information, it is written: many people guessed that Szabolcs Bede-Fazekas will play the role of the ex-prime minister in the feature film inspired by real events, but the compilation reveals that the actor will be seen in the role of the Minister of Secrets. Little Piroska is brought to life by Erika Pápai, who excels in the role of the mother of Gabi Gubás, who plays Gyurcsány's wife.
One of the film's producers told Magyar Hírlap a month ago: "In any case, we are in a fight with some cinemas because they say it is a campaign film." In response to our question as to whether the cinema's decision-makers changed their opinion on the screenings as the premiere approached, Gábor Kálomista told our paper yesterday: "Now the situation is starting to consolidate, there are some cinemas that are starting to play the film in a very good schedule, but we are still waiting for the final numbers .”
According to the producer, it was unprecedented that the Corvin Cinema started ticket sales three weeks earlier, and tickets for practically all the performances were sold out in advance.
"I think that the other cinemas have realized that this is a film that the cinemas should deal with, because it can be of great interest," added Gábor Kálomista.
Regarding the classification of the work as an art movie, the producer said that Hungarian films are usually given this classification, ElkXrtuk also went through a lot, and the process could have been much easier if there was no opposition to the film. When asked whether politicians were also invited to tonight's parade, Gábor Kálomista said that the participants were not invited on a political basis, because it will be a professional event. "Since a screening is always a celebration of the film, we are preparing for a celebration, not a political demonstration," added the filmmaker.
On November 9, the work will also be screened in the capital of the European Union, and based on the feedback, the producer found that there is interest in the film in Brussels as well.
