After the short films "Walking History", March 15 Walking Revolution and August 20 Walking History, this time it covered the events of the revolution of October 23, 1956.
The presenter, Iván Bagi, once again called on the stand-up artist Bencé Szép, who graduated from the history major, to help him. The two comedians tour the main locations of the revolution in a dynamic and enjoyable style for everyone. While walking around the sites of the events of October 23rd, we brought to life such interesting facts that are not taught in school about the armed conflicts, Imre Nagy, the guys from Pest, the Molotov cocktail or the original bullet marks that can still be found on the facade of our parliament!
was invented by Iván Bagi and his co-producer, József Duhonyi The aim of the short films is to present important, interesting and lesser-known events of Hungarian history. All this in a youthful and fun way, so that it can be understood by people of all ages. In addition to the youthful musical world described in the film, the creators also put a lot of emphasis on the visual representation, so in the film we can also find footage that we have not seen in any historical short film about Budapest. With the help of drone cameras, the iconic locations of the revolution are presented to us in a unique visual world.
"We invented this format because in the fast-paced world, we realized that young people don't read books, don't go to the theater, but rather hang out on the Internet. That's why we came up with the idea of making short historical films in their language. Youthfully, casually and just very delicately mixing humor with this historical format", Iván revealed. He is confident that, like their short films on March 15 and August 20, they will be able to bring October 23 closer to all age groups. The producer of the Walking History video series, József Duhonyi , added: "I think that if, in addition to learning, the students prepare for history lessons using parts of Walking History as additional material, I am sure that they will be able to give a good performance in school."
