Folk music concerts are also held on November 1 in the Fiumei Úti Sírkert. The National Heritage Institute (NÖRI) welcomes those who remember with extended opening hours and free parking on All Saints' Day.
Unlike previous years, this year's November 1st programs will begin with a mass at the Fiumei Úti Cemetery at 3 p.m. at the recently renovated holy cross, or in the chapel at the entrance to the cemetery in case of bad weather, NÖRI told MTI.
After that, in a joint organization with the House of Traditions, you can listen to a folk music concert of a Carpathian Basin music group in six locations of the Sírkert. These include dirges and death songs. At the end of the day, visitors to the cemetery can "draw" a large Hungary around the First World War memorial with the candlestick provided by NÖRI.
The announcement highlighted: the Institute of National Heritage has been providing a cultural program worthy of the holiday for years on All Saints' Day. So that those who come to the Fiumei Úti Sírkert, in addition to visiting the graves of their family members and our historical greats, can remember our dead in a dignified way with an artistic experience.
On the occasion of All Saints' Day and the Day of the Dead, the Sírkert welcomes those who remember with extended opening hours. It can be visited on October 28 and November 2 and 3 between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m., and from October 29 to November 1 between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. The cemetery office is open from October 30 to November 1 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Parking in the cemetery area is free from October 28 to November 2.
