According to the government decree published at the beginning of October, pensioners can expect not only a pension premium this year, but also a pension adjustment, so they can expect a pension adjustment in addition to the HUF 80,000 bonus, reports hirado.hu.
The government has paid pension premiums for the fourth time since 2017. With this year's November pension, the state will pay the highest and maximum pension premium to all pensioners since the introduction of the law. Based on the decree, the November 2021 benefits must be paid to those entitled in the increased amount and the amount of the increase for the January-October period (as well as the amount due after the thirteenth monthly pension).
The delivery of this year's pension premium starts in mid-November, all pensioners can receive a record HUF 80,000 extra , plus the amount of the pension adjustment due to inflation, which will be included in the November pensions, as an increase of about 1.2 percent.
Previously, it was said that not everyone will receive the same amount as a pension premium, but Katalin Novák, without the ministry responsible for family and youth affairs, announced at the beginning of October that 2.5 million pensioners or those receiving pension-like benefits will also receive the maximum amount of HUF 80,000.
The reconstruction of the 13-month pension taken away by the socialist governments continues, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has repeatedly expressed his hope that next February they will be able to return not just two weeks, but a full month's pension to the elderly. The latter depends on the economic results, but it is certainly encouraging that this year's expansion will exceed the 5.5 percent economic growth set by the government , and some forecasts are already counting on a 7.5 percent growth.
According to calculations, thanks to the increase following inflation, the premium and the already restored installment of the 13th pension, pensions may rise by 9-10 percent by the end of the year compared to the level of a year earlier.
