Between August 12 and 14, the Hungarian Turán Association will once again organize the biggest tradition-preserving event of the Hungarians in the Carpathian Basin, the Kurultaj, in Bugac, Bács-Kiskun county, the organizers announced.
The Kurultaj commemorates Hungarian ancestors and great figures of Hungarian history, and has now become a connecting link that can unite the entire Hungarian population of the Carpathian Basin, they write.
According to the information, the cultural meeting of the eastern peoples related to the Hungarians is also a large tribal meeting - through their kinship with the horse-nomadic peoples of the steppes.
At the invitation of the Turan Association, more than a hundred teams will come to Bugac, where the traditionalists of Transylvania, Transcarpathia, the Highlands and the Southern Region will be represented.
The organizers are preparing for the Hungarian tribal assembly, which goes back more than ten years, with traditional military parades, combat demonstrations, equestrian competitions and equestrian competitions, archery programs, exhibitions presenting the Hungarian, Hun and Avar heritage, and folk music events. In addition, a huge yurt camp will be built, and handicraft demonstrations and fairs, children's programs and scientific lectures will also add color to the offer.
