Mádl Dalma, the wife of the late President Ferenc Mádl, the goodwill ambassador of Catholic Charity, was buried on Tuesday in Budapest, in plot 28 of the Fiumei Úti Sírkert National Memorial.
Dalma Mádl died in the 89th year of his life, on October 22.
Anikó Lévai, the wife of Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and the goodwill ambassador of the Hungarian Ecumenical Aid Organization, said in her farewell speech that shock and certainty are present together now that Mádl Dalma is being escorted on his last journey.
Shock because they lost someone, a role model whom they loved very much. Certainty, because if anyone, he is surely "celebrating in the army of the saints".
He put it this way: "He reached and entered the gate towards which he had been heading with unshakable faith and trust all his life."

He said that Mádl Dalma lived and worked through his whole life in unshakable faith, even though many things could have shaken his confident faith in God since 1932 - the year of his birth - the horrors of the World War, the terror and persecution of the church during the Rákosi era, the defeated revolution and freedom struggle, guly communism , political battles and uncertainty that quickly overshadowed the joy of regime change, and in recent years the rise of anti-Christian ideologies worldwide, he said.
He added: Dalma Mádl did not have to make his own self-realization the most important goal of his life, since he knew that his life was in the best place, in the palm of God, and the fulfillment of his life is when he performs the service that God entrusted to him.
Anikó Lévai said: "Dalma's life was fulfilled before our eyes in the many-faceted and cheerful service that she undertook. He worked through the almost 90 years given to him in his own calm but determined way. He took care of everything and everyone that providence intended for him. He was a hero of the supporting background work and a real role model for me".

The Roman Catholic ceremony was led by Cardinal Péter Erdő, Archbishop of Esztergom-Budapest.
"Ms. Dalma had kind, encouraging words and gestures again and again towards priests, monks, and lay believers," said the cardinal, adding that her faith radiated to people, and she also experienced the dramatic moments internally.
Péter Erdő emphasized: Dalma Mádl considered helping the poor and needy to be a matter of his heart.
At the funeral, the family's farewell thoughts were also read, with which they thanked the mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother for showing the values of human strength and endurance.
The mourners said goodbye to Dalma Mádl with a white rose, who was laid to rest in the grave next to her husband.
The funeral was attended by Viktor Orbán, President János Áder and his wife, Anita Herczegh, László Kövér, Speaker of the Parliament, Miklós Kásler, Minister of Human Resources, Judit Varga, Minister of Justice, former Prime Minister Péter Boross and Bishop Zoltán Balog, the Hungarian Reformed Church Pastoral President of the Synod.
