The government reacted to world market trends not only in terms of utility but also fuel prices. Gergely Gulyás, the minister in charge of the Prime Minister's Office, announced in last week's Government Information that fuel prices will be maximized at HUF 480 from today. It can be cheaper than this, but it should not be sold more expensively.
Gergely Gulyás, the minister in charge of the Prime Minister's Office, said that according to the government's decision, gasoline and diesel can be sold at a maximum price of HUF 480/liter
As he put it: "The government decided to
from November 15, the price of gasoline and diesel per liter will be fixed at HUF 480. This means that the price of diesel and gasoline can be cheaper than HUF 480, but not more expensive."
According to the minister, the government is confident that this step will help businesses as well as people and can promote the reduction of inflation.
Gergely Gulyás also explained that "the price of natural gas on the European markets increased by 400 percent on average in one year. This in itself pushed the price of electricity up, in Europe the market price of electricity increased by about 100 percent in a single year"
Pursuant to the current regulations announced in a government decree on Thursday evening
the fixed price applies to 95 petrol and diesel, for the time being until February 15. The well that exceeds the HUF 480 price can be closed.
Regarding the European energy crisis
the Hungarian government consistently takes the position that people should feel as little as possible from price increases on the world market ,
therefore, they maintain the utility reduction despite the opposition of left-wing politicians , and the regulation of runaway fuel prices also fits into this.
