There is a renewed struggle for the lives of coronavirus patients in the intensive care units of hospitals, the current channel M1 reported on Friday evening. It was also said in the Hírado: in the Covid ward, when unvaccinated patients leave the hospital, they change their mind in almost every case and decide to ask for the vaccine anyway.
Not even a year has passed since the M1 crew conducted an exclusive interview in the Covid-intensive department of the Hungarian Military Hospital in Budapest, where specialists work to cure patients in the most serious condition. Now the crew was allowed in again so that everyone could see: a heroic fight was underway for the lives of the patients. Specialists working there say that even after all this time, it is not certain that people understand: the vital importance of vaccination.
When the M1 crew was filming in the ward, a deceased person was lying on one of the patient's beds, having died of the coronavirus not long before. For this reason, part of the picture was covered in the M1 newsroom for reasons of mercy.
It was said: the majority of infected people who need ventilation did not ask for the vaccine, and the condition of many of them deteriorates so quickly that they can no longer be saved.
Zsolt Deim, an unvaccinated patient, said:
"Once I get out of here and recover, I will definitely get myself vaccinated".
Ádám Péter, a specialist at the Hungarian Armed Forces Health Center, said: the effect of the vaccinations is definitely visible. From several points of view, on the one hand, with vaccination, it is rare to end up in the intensive care unit. It happens, but in proportion much, much less often than unvaccinated. "On the other hand, those who come here to the intensive care unit after vaccination have a much better chance of getting out alive," he pointed out.
