As in the past 11 years, Hungarian organizations operating abroad and in the diaspora can also count on the support of the Government of Hungary next year, said János Árpád Potápi, State Secretary for National Policy, in the introduction to the press conference detailing the 2022 open calls for tenders. In the language of numbers: they were able to reach 1,700,000 people despite the epidemic, which was not easy, but contact and support were continuous.

He reminded that according to the decision of the Hungarian Permanent Conference, 2021 was declared the year of the national restart, and thus the State Secretariat for National Policy of the Prime Minister unified the grants and calls for tenders previously provided as part of several programs under the title of the National Restart Program, which includes six sub-programmes: educational, cultural, church, sports, and youth, scout and community and diaspora subprograms.

Two tenders were announced for them: the first for operation and development, the second for the organization of programs and events.

Based on the success of these applications, the State Secretariat for National Policy will once again announce these programs for 2022 - with the same six sub-programs as in 2021 - for which organizations carrying out decisive activities in terms of Hungarian unity and prosperity in the homeland can submit applications November 25, 2021 from.

The first call of the 2022 National Restart Program is again about support for operation, development and asset procurement with a budget of HUF 1.5 billion, of which HUF 300 thousand - HUF 5 million is the amount that can be tendered.

The 2022 National Restart Program II. intends to support the events and programs with a budget of HUF 500 million, of which HUF 300,000 to HUF 1 million can be applied for.

An applicant may submit 1 application per call, with the exception of the diaspora subprogram, since the scattered Hungarian organizations carry out several different activities.

A third call for tenders has been published for 2022, which supports community and economic sister settlement programs and cooperation. In addition to the traditional sister settlement programs announced annually since 2015 (joint holidays, educational and cultural programs, nurturing of traditions), as a new element it appeals to the entrepreneurial layer operating in the Carpathian Basin. This tender aims to encourage Hungarian-Hungarian economic relations, the creation of entrepreneurial forums, and the display of manufactured products in sister settlements.
