Schallenberg may exchange the chancellorship for the EU affairs ministry.
According to the Kurier, the previous Minister of Economy, Margarete Schramböck, may leave her post.
The leader of the Austrian Freedom Party (FPÖ), Herbert Kickl, demanded that new elections be called. The largest opposition party, the social democratic SPÖ, also spoke about new elections.
