In order to further improve the quality of life of the people living in the small settlements, the tender notices of the Hungarian Village Program will be published on January 3, 2022 with 14 calls, and applications can be submitted on that day, the government commissioner responsible for the development of modern settlements, Alpár Gyopáros, told MTI on Monday.
According to the announcement issued by the Prime Minister's Office, the procedure will be further simplified: the submission time will be shorter (30-35 days) and the evaluation phase will be faster. In addition to the previous popular appeals, it is also possible to obtain funds for the realization of new goals, he added.
The government commissioner called one of the biggest results of the Hungarian Village Program the fact that the population decline in small settlements has stopped, and this is also reflected in the increased demand for daycare centers. From next year, it will be possible to renovate the existing nursery buildings, he added. You can also apply for the purchase of a dental treatment unit for the first time.
He called the possibility of creating a mobile facility for the construction and development of outdoor public spaces and facilities, such as a stage, as well as the storage of vehicles, as a novelty. Alpár Gyopáros pointed out that the tender for the construction of roads, bridges and bicycle paths is expanding, within the framework of which funds can also be obtained for the repair and construction of drainage canal systems from 2022. He said: the possibility of developing the kindergarten building, the village hall, the cultural center and the doctor's office development application will be available in an unchanged form.
Beneficiaries are local governments, which can apply for an increased subsidy amount for high-rise construction projects due to rising real estate prices. It is a relief for them that a building permit is not required for the issuance of the Certificate of Support, proof of the start of the permit procedure is sufficient, the government commissioner indicated.
It is still possible to apply for the purchase of equipment related to community organization, as well as wage subsidies, the purchase of communal equipment, the construction of kindergarten playgrounds and public playgrounds. The support that can be requested in the framework of the pavement construction tender will increase to 10 million forints, and next year, the amount can be applied to the contractor's fee, in addition to the cost of materials. Local governments can count on tenders for the construction of service housing and the purchase of farm and village buses, the politician listed. He continued by saying that the school building and gymnasium development tender will be announced again, the beneficiaries of which will be the school districts.
Church communities can also apply for significant funds in three target areas: the development of church community spaces and the purchase of equipment, salary support, and the development of church cemetery infrastructure in the categories. The tender objectives include the acquisition and operation of the digital cemetery register for both church-maintained and municipal-maintained cemeteries. Village civil organizations can once again apply for support for their activities, said Alpár Gyopáros.
