Mecsekerdő donated more than four hundred Christmas trees to hospitals, public institutions, social and children's homes, civil organizations - including the National Association of Large Families, the Association of Colored Pearls - as well as churches and parishes.

According to the announcement on the website of Mecsekerdő Zrt., the company is following its decades-old community-creating and sustaining tradition this year as well: as Christmas approaches, in early December, with the intention of making the holiday more beautiful, it donates hundreds of pine trees to social and church institutions and NGOs in Pécs and Baranya counties.

Mecsekerdő would like to contribute with its own means to getting wood to places where it might otherwise not go, where the purchase of a Christmas tree has to be given up due to limited financial opportunities. The aim of the forestry is that the light of colored lights and the smell of pine permeate the room for a few weeks, where white is the dominant color during the rest of the year, and those children and elderly people who have given up on the tree can sit around it on Christmas Eve. they don't even have a family.

The Mecsekerdő does not cut down the pine trees from the forest, but delivers them from the Christmas tree plantations established and professionally maintained for this purpose to the affected parties, or to the forestry designated for collection.
