Over the past seven years, the Hungarian authorities have arrested more than six hundred thousand border violators, and this year alone this number exceeded 120 thousand, said the prime minister's chief adviser on internal security in a video uploaded to the government's Facebook page on Wednesday.
According to György Bakondi, this means that three hundred border violators are caught every day, and to this is added the "activity" of human traffickers, which is "a very profitable business" of organized crime.
He pointed out that the border guards do not rest even during the Christmas period, as the "border-violating movement" is still intense.
