More women are being sexually assaulted by biologically male transgender inmates in women's prisons thanks to the transfer of transgender individuals in the US.
An inmate at a penitentiary in Gig Harbor, Washington, has testified that he witnessed female inmates being sexually assaulted by their transgender, biologically male, inmates. These men were transferred to women's prisons after they began identifying as transgender.
The former inmate, who requested anonymity, reported several sexual harassments in the women's prison. According to the woman, several female inmates filed complaints with the institution's staff, and a transgender woman named Jazzy was accused of harassment. In one incident, the inmate was asleep when he awoke to find Jazzy using his erect penis to initiate sexual intercourse with him. The case was also reported to the prison staff, but they did not dare to punish the transgender woman , because during the prosecution, Jazzy evaded responsibility and accused her victim of homophobia.
