The number of vaccinated people in Hungary is 6,278,355, of which 6,006,178 received the second, and 3,217,724 received the confirmatory, third vaccination. 6,524 new infections were confirmed, increasing the number of identified infections to 1,282,957 since the beginning of the epidemic. 101 people died, most of them old, chronic patients, so the number of those who died rose to 39,780, koronavirus.gov.hu announced on Friday.
It was written on the government portal: the number of those who have recovered is constantly increasing, currently 1,137,648, and the number of active infected has risen to 105,529. 3,070 coronavirus patients are being cared for in the hospital, of which 291 are on ventilators.
The omicron virus variant is also spreading in Hungary, it was pointed out.
It was announced that another vaccination drive had begun: on Thursday, 34,000 people requested the vaccination, and most of them went for the confirmatory vaccination this time as well.
The vaccination campaign will continue on Friday afternoon and Saturday at the hospital vaccination points and in the designated district center specialist clinics, where you can again request the vaccination without making an appointment, they wrote.
